cafeGAINZ Tip of the Day - Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2008

Here's a question from a loyal subscriber regarding Monday's tip: "is this regimen more for toning or what?"


Answer: Not necessarily. It really comes down to intensity. If you decrease the weight and do 20 easy reps, you're really not doing anything at all. If this is what "toning" means then toning and "GAINZ" are, as Perry would say, "separate ways, brother, ( worlds apart )." However, if you pick a weight that is more challenging and do 20 higher intensity reps, you're doing more than toning......you're making some serious GAINZ. Wesay GAINZ did a "lighter" weight/high rep workout routine about a year ago and stuck to it. Let's just say, toning AND GAINZ happened because I challenged myself. I actually got a bit more pump going. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but you can do more than just tone if you keep up the intensity level, despite the decrease in weight. The main thing is to keep challenging yourself.


And yes, you WILL PROMISE ME to keep challenging yourself!!!!!
