cafeGAINZ Tip of the Day - Monday, Jan. 7, 2008
I don't know about y'all, but I certainly did get after it hard this weekend. How's about 4 hours in the gym on Saturday making cardio, core, and basketball GAINZ. (OK, most of those hours were basketball GAINZ, but they were GAINZ nonetheless).
Now on to the business at hand....We all know biceps are more for show than anything else, but they can be important if you ever find yourself hanging from your roof or a bridge in a life or death situation a la Stallone in "Cliffhanger." So let's make your biceps more functional. Do chin-ups in your biceps routine; try to use your biceps, and not your back, as much as possible. We suggest doing them in the middle of the workout so that they are pre-exhausted. If they become difficult, use the weight-assisted machine to pump out a few more reps. Now you'll be able to pull yourself up and out of any sticky situation.
